Counterplay insists Godfall Challenger Edition is not a trial


Following the hype around Godfall: Challenger EditionInclusion of in the PlayStation Plus line from December 2021, developer Counterplay Games said Eurogamer that the aforementioned version is not an “essay” as some people have suggested.

When Counterplay explained what Challenger Edition That is, gamers remained furious because they realized that the only PlayStation 5 offering included in this month’s lineup isn’t actually a full game. Counterplay insists this new release is a low budget limited edition that will go on sale after its release on PS Plus as well as the Epic Game Store.

That probably won’t be any consolation for PS Plus subscribers, however, who expected full play as part of the monthly lineup. But this one is on Sony rather than Counterplay.

In the meantime, the developer has released a patch for Challenger Edition it also brought many fixes and improvements. The patch notes are as follows:

Items related to combat, weapons and attributes:

  • Fixed an issue where Archon Fury Spirit Warriors would get collision volumes when performing a dodge.
  • Fixed an issue where the input buffer for blocking was incompatible with some weapons while holding down the Weapon Technique button.
  • Fixed an issue where Light Sync attacks were not dealing Soul Break damage.
  • Addressed an issue where the Overhealth gained stops decreasing when an item is unequipped or a Skill Point has been invested.
  • Addressed an issue where players could encounter an issue when first withdrawing on a variety of enemies.

  • Addressed an issue where using the Southern weapon technique with dual blades on a knocked down enemy would cause the enemy to be invisible and / or stationary at certain ranges.
  • Fixed an issue where upgrading the All Resistance secondary trait in the Forge would not change the value.
