Dad uses fake video game to distract toddler while watching soccer game

A dad found a nifty way to keep his little one occupied so he could watch the big football game.

Hannes Coudenys is a Belgian father with 422,000 followers on TikTok. He and his wife Deborah share their adventures with their adopted son Rae Morris and granddaughter Alma, who have both been adopted.

And like just about every dad on Earth, Coudenys brings his sense of humor to fatherhood.

One day, Coudenys invited his friends over to watch a football game on a laptop. To keep his son distracted, Coudenys came up with a genius idea – and now the hilarious video has received over 200,000 views on TikTok.

“Hem doen geloven dat hij de match speel,” the father wrote in Belgian, which roughly translates to: “Make him believe he’s playing the match.

The group of men gathered around the laptop to watch the game. Meanwhile, Coudenys handed Rae his phone with a photo of a video game controller.

Little Rae pressed the buttons on the dummy controller. His father totally convinced him that he was playing a soccer video game.

This is one way to harness your child’s imagination!
