Commenting on the game development scene in the Game Eon studio, Nikhil Malankar shared, “We use Autodesk Maya LT specifically for affordability and being a small studio we have to look at the cost. We use Unity as well as Unreal Engine and have realized that what Unreal Engine can offer is a benchmark of quality much higher than what Unity can offer as a starting point. There are many talents who are very familiar with Autodesk. All of these tools, both Autodesk and Unreal Engine, go hand in hand.
One of the biggest challenges that hobbyist developers face is installing an engine before they’ve even received training. Sameer Pitalwalla said: “We’ve moved all of our training to the cloud so you don’t really need a high-end engine to train you. We trained 2,5000 people in 11 months and it really boosted the quality of the game and the depth of talent in India. “
