Fall Guys’ Sonic-Inspired Scene Leaked Online

A video showing a long-running Fall Guys and Sonic crossover event has leaked online.

Featured on Pancake YouTube Channel – Fall Guys Leaks – a fall guys (opens in a new tab) dataminer – we see the real-time gameplay of the brand new manic map which was clearly inspired by Sonic the Hedgehog’s iconic Green Hill Zone level.

Here it is in all its glory:

Only two minutes long and with a description that only says “I figured out how to get sound level gameplay, looks pretty cool”, the video admittedly doesn’t reveal much, but we have a preview of “Bean Hill Zone”, that’s exactly what it looks like.

While some may be disappointed that it’s not a perfect recreation, to me it looks like a bright, multicolored mix of the classic Sonic map and the fantastical stages we love to play in Mediatonic’s adorable battle royale.

As for what else is in store? Well, all is quiet on that front at the moment, and Mediatonic has yet to confirm – or formally deny – the leak. Guess we’ll find out more as we move into August, though, maybe…watch this space.

Cross-play, cross-platform parties, and cross-progression are now available in all versions through Epic Online Services on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and PC, though you’ll need an Epic Games counts on all platforms to connect and start having fun. Within 48 hours of departure free game on all platforms (opens in a new tab)Fall Guys has seen its player base expand to 20 million players (opens in a new tab).

The new season 1 – called Free For All, which is exactly what it says on the box, of course – would be “Fall Guys’ goofiest, goofiest season yet,” throwing in the iconic beans of the play in “a giant arena to compete for ultimate glory in brand-new events and locations”.

That said, not all players are happy with the changes; some Fall Guys fans are wondering if losing matches will help improve their beans faster than winning them (opens in a new tab) and last week developer Fall Guys Mediatonic had to apologize to the players (opens in a new tab) after some were accused of simply looking at items in his in-game store.
