Forspoken has received a very mixed reception since the presentation of the first gameplay trailer. The game has also been delayed before, no doubt adding more fuel to the fire. Now another hit will plague the game as Luminous Productions has announced that Forspoken will be delayed again, no longer meeting its October 2022 release date.
As seen on a Twitter feed of the Forspoken accountthe game has been postponed until January 24, 2023. This is a strategic decision according to the developers of the game. The thread says the following:
Following ongoing discussions with key partners, we have made the strategic decision to move the launch date of Speak as of January 24, 2023. All elements of the game are now complete and development is in its final polishing stage.
We would like to thank you for your continued support and patience throughout this journey. Your enthusiasm for the game inspires us every day and we look forward to sharing more about Speak with you later this summer!
As you can see above, the game is cited as being in its final polishing stages. So that means the development of the game is still going strong. However, this also unfortunately means that the game will no longer be available in October, as previously reported. It’s a shame because Forspoken is also supposed to be a game that featured cutting-edge technology from DirectStorage.
As of now, Forspoken will release on PlayStation 5 and PC on January 24, 2023. Separately, the release date for God of War Ragnarok has finally been announced. Alongside, we also got a new in-depth look at the game’s Collector’s Edition and another new trailer. Additionally, a new Nintendo Switch OLED model with a Splatoon 3 theme was announced by Nintendo recently. This edition of the console comes with a themed Pro Controller and carrying case.
