The Game Awards 2021: program of the event

According to Geoff Keighley’s podcast, more than half of the show will feature game ads, which involves around 90 minutes of hype.

The event will also make an exciting reveal on two current-gen console games. Fans will certainly be curious as to which games can maximize the awesome potential of the PS5 and Xbox Series X. Keighley said the game’s trailers are “surprises that will get people excited.”

For reference, last year’s Game Awards featured the first trailer for “Back 4 Blood”. The event also teased “Mass Effect” and “Dragon Age”. As previously mentioned, as the pandemic has delayed game development plans, the better half of the event only revealed content updates for older titles.

This makes the Game Awards 2021 much more critical for fans, as the industry may have reclaimed its normal list of announcements.

According to Polygon, the Game Awards will also invite celebrities to the event. Some identified guests are “The Matrix” cast Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss, former Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime, and “Shang-Chi” actor Simu Ling.

Finally, fans should look for musical guest Imagined Dragons, who will perform live with The Game Awards Orchestra.
