Roblox is a multiplayer online game where players build virtual worlds from building blocks.

It has over 100 million monthly active players.

In the UK alone, it is estimated that around 1.5 million children play Roblox.

Players download the application for computers, consoles, smartphones or tablets and use it to play a catalog of games.

They can also add friends and chat while playing.

Roblox was officially launched in 2006. The site was also shut down in October last year.

Site Downdetector reported a huge spike in issues with the platform just after midnight.
