In 2021, PS4 games will arrive that you did not know

The PlayStation 4 is still packed with big game releases for 2021 – but you might be well aware of these upcoming titles by now.

The second half of 2021 still looks great for PS4 releases, including some weird exclusives, some games you might have overlooked in all the E3 / Summer Game Fest hype for the start of 2022, and some titles you just don’t want to see. may not have known happen for PS4 at all. Here’s a look at some of our favorites.

While most of the recent hype regarding game releases is about the next generation of games for the PS5, the PS4 has not been forgotten. There are plenty of games coming out later this year that are either exclusive to the PS4 or also available on PS5 and PC.

Where the Heart Leads – July 13

Developed by Armature Games, Where The Heart Leads is described as a “surreal narrative adventure game” which will be released for PS4 and PS5 on July 13th. The first glimpses of the game, including the release date of the trailer that launched in March, don’t tell us much about the actual topic of the game.

Midgard Tribes – July 27

Where The Heart Leads is a storytelling game with a distinct art style to be sure, and follows the story of Whit Anderson as he ventures back in time after descending into a chasm to save the animal from the sea. family. The trailer plays a dark piano sound and it’s clear this game won’t be happy. Other than that? Well, you’ll have to wait and see.

Developed by Norsfell and published by Gearbox, Tribes of Midgard is a multiplayer action-survival RPG that allows up to 10 players in co-op. It merges multiple genres into one: survival, base build, and RPG class build that lets you customize your Viking gear. In addition, it is visually very appealing, with a vibrant artistic style that differs from the usual Viking Gray.

There are dungeons, massive boss fights, and different classes with their own legendary weapons and gear. You could call it some kind of cooperative Diablo with Don’t Starve’s survival mechanics. It sounds good ? Seasonal events are planned throughout the year for Midgard which will hopefully allow the game to thrive with a good balance between endgame content and progression. Tribes of Midgard will be released for PC and Playstation 4 on July 27, 2021.

Little Devil Inside – July Little Devil Inside was first announced to the world as a Kickstarter project in 2015. Five years later, its reveal PS5 trailer has received over a million views on YouTube, but we forgive you if you forgot it. a. Not much has been released about the game since January, but it’s slated for a July release on PS4 and PS5.

The game is an action-adventure game developed by Neostream Interactive, and it takes you through single player and multiplayer cooperative modes as you control a team of Victorian explorers in search of mysteries in a 19th century world. Little Devil Inside looks quite bizarre (you can ride a pig and shoot a gun, or explore dark underwater caverns infested with Cthulhu monsters) but intriguing. It comes out in July. 5
Clid The Snail – Summer 2021

From bizarre to bizarre yet, Clid The Snail is the story of a grumpy humanoid snail that’s cocked to the teeth and ready to kick ass. While it sounds weird, the release trailer comes with a heavy metal soundtrack and some really awesome gameplay. Weird Beluga Studio may have found one of the hidden gems of PS games this year. The development of the game has been supported by the Playstation Talents program which helps new developers bring their games to the Sony platform. The game offers a variety of weapons and ways to play, but will not focus entirely on the shooter to tell its story. There’s also a tale that plays out between Clid, the humanoid snail, and his friendly pet Belu, the firefly. Expect puzzles and mayhem – this isn’t the one you should be forgetting anytime soon. Clid The Snail is slated for release in the summer of 2021.

Stray – October 2021 Stray is the latest game from gem-only publisher Annapurna Interactive and developed by BlueTwelve Studio, a small team from the south of France, apparently made up of more cats than humans. This adventure puzzle game follows the life of a stray cat on a mission through a futuristic, grainy city inhabited by faceless robots and neon lighting. He looks gorgeous, and that’s not hyperbole.

It’s a third-person cat adventure game (yes, you read that right, and it sounds amazing) with environmental puzzles and a level of interactivity with the environments and people of the city that reminds us a bit of Untitled Goose Game. However, this game is about a hyper-intelligent cat and his sensitive, friendly drone, something we struggle to find comparisons to. This is Annapurna for you: fending off the weird and the strangest. A fairly vague release date was set for October 2021 a few months ago, and Stray will release on PS4, PS5, and PC. 3
