While there’s no explicit “Multiplayer” menu option, the game modes you’re looking for are directly after opening the game’s splash screen, labeled “Custom Leagues” and “Co-op in line”. The first is a more complicated option where you create a league to play with multiple friends, customize it to your desired settings and competitiveness, and select your teams, but this will require 3 other players. The latter is a way for you and 1 or 2 friends to immediately play 2v2 or 3v3 against other players online.
