My Time at Sandrock multiplayer will be added “by the end of this year”

Multiplayer is heading to life sim My Time at Sandrock later this summer.

Released last week on Steam Early Access, My Time at Sandrock is already proving extremely popular. It has had a successful launch so far which has seen the game surpass the concurrent player record of its predecessor, My Time at Portia, just hours after release. Despite its success, some players were disappointed that multiplayer didn’t come into the game at launch, but developer Panthea assured fans it would be added before the end of the year.

In a video, Panthea reveals that it is currently developing the multiplayer mode for My Time at Sandrock and plans to include it in an update “by the end of this year”. The developer aims to hold a global test for all players in late August or early September and another in October before adding it to the game between then and the end of 2022.

As for what we can expect from multiplayer in My Time at Sandrock, it will feature up to four players “in a small pre-Sandrock town working together to build the most powerful trading guild in all of the desert. “Eufaula. You and your building buddies can progress together, because when one player takes a commission, all players can start contributing. “If you’re making the first cut of the tree, you can sit back and relax for your buddy does all the work. Both of you will have the resources,” says Xu Zhi, director of My Time at Sandrock.

Multiplayer will primarily focus on city building and interacting with others, but it will still be connected to the game’s single-player storyline.” After completing the entire game, both in multiplayer and in single-player mode, you will have experienced a much fuller story,” says Zhi.
