Nashville Sounds announces 10 games added for 2021 season

Sounds of NashvilleNashville, Tennessee – Along with a Minor League Baseball and Major League Baseball announcement, the Nashville Sounds Baseball Club added 10 games to the 2021 schedule. Rescheduled games from games postponed to the start of the 2021 season will be played in a new format of a post-season tournament called “Triple-A Final Stretch”.

Following the season finale previously announced to Gwinnett from September 14-19, the Sounds will now return home to First Horizon Park to host a five-game series against the Cleveland Indians AAA affiliate Columbus Clippers starting Wednesday. , from September 22 to Sunday September 26.

The Wednesday-Saturday games against Columbus will begin at 7:05 p.m. and the gates will open at 6:00 p.m.

The last home game of the season on Sunday, September 26 will start at 6:15 p.m. with the doors opening at 5:15 p.m.

A 2021 AAA regular season champion will be named based on the overall winning percentage throughout the originally scheduled championship season ending September 19. The Sounds are currently 38-22 and own the third best record in the league.

Additionally, among the 30 Triple-A clubs, only one winner of the final Triple-A 2021 stretch will also be crowned based on the highest overall winning percentage during that 10-game streak. The winning club will receive a Major League Baseball award.

Promotions added to the last five home games at First Horizon Park include Tito’s Tail Waggin ‘Wednesday September 22, Throwback Thursday presented by Budweiser September 23 and All Fans Run the Bases postgame presented by First Horizon to close the season on Sunday. The Sounds will now end the 2021 season with a five-game streak against the Indianapolis Indians at Victory Field in Indianapolis. The series will begin on Wednesday, September 29 and end on Sunday, October 3. The first four games in Indianapolis will begin at 6:05 p.m. Central time and the season finale will begin at 12:35 p.m. Central time.
