In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Minyoung Kim, Netflix’s vice president of content for Asia-Pacific, raised the possibility of turning the hit series into a video game. Fans wondering what to expect for the South Korean series after the second season rumors were in talks. Confirming the news, the Netflix executive admitted that company experts were “reviewing” potential areas.

Due to the series’ success which has garnered love from around the world, Minyoung Kim said she has received requests to conceptualize the idea of ​​turning the series into a video game. She said, “We have received an overwhelming but happy volume of requests from the organization – from the consumer products department, the gaming group, our other international teams.”

She further confirmed that her team is exploring opportunities to create a roadmap for the company. She added: “ The role of my team is to really look at all these opportunities together, to create this roadmap for the Squid game IP. Additionally, Minyoung Kim believed in the goal of increasing viewers’ affinity to their content by adding, ” We are looking at several different areas – games, consumer products, and others – to really understand this. that we can bring to our audiences to increase their affinity for our content and give them more joy, while staying true to the world our creator has built. ”
