In Wednesday’s PreMarket Prep Plus segment, Joel kulina from Wedbush Securities joined the show.
Kulina had two stocks on her buy radar ahead of Wednesday’s session. When asked about one of his areas of expertise, the video game industry, Kulina said he preferred Activision Blizzard, Inc. (NASDAQ: ATVI).
Why Kulina is watching Activision Blizzard: The company has a catalyst coming up with the release of “Call Of Duty” on November 5th.
“The key here is that the holiday roster is a lot less competitive than it was a few months ago,” Kulina said.
“Take-Two interactive software (NASDAQ: TTWO) postponed its “Grand Auto Theft 6” until March and Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: EA) ‘Battlefield 2042’ has it all to be a big flop, ”he told PreMarket Prep Plus.
Kulina’s cybersecurity choice: In the cybersecurity industry, he has a crush on Tenable Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: TENB). He prefaced his choice by saying: “Cyber security is an industry to which you must be exposed. “
According to him, “the company ticks all the boxes and it is also a GARPY name”, referring to growth at a reasonable price.
About Joël Kulina: Joel is senior vice president and head of technology, media and telecommunications (TMT) at Wedbush.
He has a hybrid role as a specialist spot equity trader by sector and works with the sales team.
He has extensive knowledge of TMT’s global supply chain which enhances its trading strategies. He uses a strong working relationship with local brokers around the world who keep him informed of developments with small foreign companies that are relevant within the technology supply chain.
On a daily basis, he communicates with a wide range of investors on the long side to get a better idea of the positioning and market psychology for the upcoming trading session.
