Roblox video game platform still down, but company says it has a fix

The massive online video game platform Roblox still appears to be down, following an outage that began last week.

The California-based company first tweeted about issues with the popular service on Friday. Sunday afternoon, It said it was “gradually bringing the regions back in line.”

The company said earlier that he had identified the root cause of the failure and had a solution to it.

A Roblox spokesperson said The edge that the failure was not due to an “external intrusion”.

Roblox is not a video game. Rather, it is a digital platform that allows users to create video games using streamlined developer tools and allows gamers to play any game for free.

“Players can build the ultimate theme park, compete as a professional racing driver, take part in a fashion show, become a superhero, or just design a dream house and hang out with friends,” said the California company on its website.

According to Roblox, the platform has 9.5 million developers and 24 million “experiences”. More than half of American children under 16 play Roblox, company said The edge in July 2020.

Although Roblox is free, users can spend money to upgrade and accessorize their avatars using the platform’s virtual currency, Robux.
