The Sega Genesis Mini 2 is coming this fall with 50 games

Sega has announced that the Sega Genesis Mini 2 will launch in North America on October 27.

The Sega Genesis Mini 2 is a more compact version of the original Sega Genesis Mini, swapping the classic design of the original Sega Genesis – with the side cartridge port, traditional power switch and chunky controller – for a console that puts the cartridge port (it’s non-functional, by the way) right in the middle and the power button just below. The controller has been upgraded to have six buttons instead of three.

The latest miniature console comes preloaded with 50 classic titles, some of which are sequels unreleased on the Sega Genesis Mini, like Sonic 3D Blast, After Burner II, Vectorman 2, and Splash house 2. The library also contains four Sega CD titles, including sonic cd, Brilliant Force CD, Silpheedand Mansion of Hidden Souls.

In addition to the great classics of Genesis, you will have access to certain arcade ports, such as Outrunners and Fantasy area. And as a special bonus, you will have access to the unreleased Genesis title moving star. The Sega Genesis Mini’s hardware has been improved to allow for full-motion video and for smoother animations than ever on its predecessor.

News from sonic cd to be included in the Sega Genesis Mini 2 comes almost a month after the release of Sound originswhich includes the Sega CD title and can be played by Sonic fans on all current-gen platforms. moving star is an even more interesting addition, as development of the game ended in 1992, but it has never been seen by the public until now.
