Skull and Bones release date and pre-order bonuses may have been leaked, according to Chronicle of video games.
Ubisoft’s pirate game has constantly had its release date pushed back and now it looks like it might finally see the light of day.
According to the report, the leak originates from Aggiornamenti Lumia, which continually flags listings being added to Xbox and Windows Stores before they are made available to the public.
And they claimed that Skull and Bones will finally be released on November 8, 2022.
It’s also been reported that Ubisoft may re-reveal the pirate game online next week, so there seems to be some weight to the claim.
Tom Hendersonthe noted insider, previously claimed that the publisher will both show gameplay and reveal details in July.
The game is said to be “multiplayer first” in a world inspired by the Indian Ocean, reminiscent of the golden days of piracy.
Players can continually earn newer and bigger ships and upgrade their ships while continuing to sail the seas and battle other sailors.
The leak claims that there will be two additional missions bundled with the pre-order bonus; one is titled “Bloody Bones Legacy Mission”, while another is titled “The Ashen Corsair Mission”.
Additionally, there would be a Smuggler Pass Token, a digital soundtrack and artbook, and a premium bonus pack.
It’s unclear exactly what that entails, or what a Smuggler Pass token actually is, but Ubisoft should confirm that in the coming weeks.
Skull and Bones was first revealed in 2017, but a Kotaku The report previously claimed that the game went through multiple changes throughout a stormy development cycle that saw various ideas both thrown around and canned.
We will let you know when we have confirmation of the release date.
